(On the way to the Souma main house..)

Kyou: A while ago, she left her door wide open.

Yuki: Don’t tell me you went inside!

Kyou: Of course not! I just saw it from the outside.

Yuki: Honda-san is a but clumsy, after all..

Kyou: She sometime bumps into a perfectly fine wall. She’s definitely one of those absent-minded types.

Yuki: Stop being so blunt!

Shigure: You guys. Could you please stop talking like a bunch of pregnant ladies? I understand you are worried about Tohru-kun, but you already said you are going back.

Kyou: I wasn’t worried about her!

Yuki: Don’t be foolish! Let’s hurry!

Shigure: Ah! Now that I think about it.. The evening paper said that a robbery occurred nearby. I heard the suspect haven’t been caught yet.

Kyou: Oh no! She’s dumb enough to welcome the robber at the gate!.

Yuki: She’d probably bring some tea on a platter and even listen to his entire life story! (Yuki and Kyou have become wobbly from worry.)

Shigure: Hey, you guys. If you keep standing there, you’ll..

Hanajima: ..bump into someone.

Shigure, Kyou, Yuki: NYAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!

Shigure: W-well! If it isn’t Saki-chan!

Kyou: Why can’t she appear in a more normal fashion?

Yuki: Where did she get that mantle?

Shigure: What’s wrong? Did you forget something?

Hanajima: Yes, sort of.

Shigure: Tohru-kun is at home. We’re on our way to the Main House though..

Hanajima: I see. Then she really is alone this year. She spent every new Year with her mother.. But this year she’s alone. Until now, she has spent every year with her mother. But this year, she’s alone. I offered to be with her. But she smiled, telling me to be with my own family. But what about Tohru-kun? New Year’s Eve, which is filled with her memories of her mother.. What is she going to feel this time? Also, New Year’s Bell, which she used to hear together with her mother.. What is she going to feel hearing it this year?

Yuki: Back there, what did she feel..

Kyou: ..as she saw us off?

Hanajima: Is it really okay to leave Tohru-kun like that? Is she really alright?

Kyou: Right now, what is she feeling..

Yuki: ..in that house? (Yuki and Kyou bump into each other)

Shigure: What are you guys doing?

Hanajima: I saw it.

Kyou: What are you doing? Akito will be really mad again!

Hanajima: The head of Kyou Souma as he tried to get up..

Yuki: You’re the one to talk, your lovely Kagura is waiting for you!

Hanajima: .. and the lower cheek of Yuki Souma as he took a step forward.. .. have bumped into each other. Explanation over.

Kyou: You must be kidding! I’ll wrap her up nicely and give her to you!

Yuki: No thanks.

Shigure: Hey hey, you guys. Where are you going?

Kyou and Yuki: I’m going back!!! (White gingerbread figures running away ^_^)

Yuki: How come.. How come we didn’t realize it?

Kyou: We didn’t see it. We didn’t sense it! Because..

Yuki She always smiles so happily. No matter how trivial, she smiles so happily!

Kyou: But.. she said she didn’t mind being alone.. She said it was fine..

Kyou and Yuki: But, someone like that doesn’t exist! (They slammed the door open and found Tohru looking at her mother’s picture, crying.

Kyou: If we hadn’t come.. If we just left her without realizing anything..

Yuki: We could have left her to cry by herself!

Tohru: Ahhh, are you okay?

Yuki: The first sunrise.. we have to see it right”?

Kyou: Before that.. I want to eat some soba again! (They look up to Tohru as tears fall from her eyes.)

Yuki: I’m home.

Kyou: I’m home.

This is probably one of my most favorite scenes in the series. I love it because this time it is Tohru who needs some encouragement for her sadness. And who else are the perfect choices to give it but Yuki and Kyou!
